Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The Central Bar shines in many areas, but its standout feature is the impressive beer selection. Craft brews and traditional favorites mingle, satisfying every palate. Guests love the lively atmosphere, especially during live music nights when the energy peaks.

Food options receive much praise, particularly the homemade chowder and succulent fish and chips. Many reviews highlight the friendly and attentive staff, creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. There's also a strong draw for visitors due to the diverse menu catering excellently to vegetarians, ensuring everyone can find a delicious option to savor.

People mention the clean facilities, which enhance overall comfort, especially during busy nights. Being a kid-friendly spot makes it ideal for families, and the outdoor seating allows diners to soak in the fresh air while enjoying their meals.

Most Disliked

The main concern seems to be related to a few menu items. Some diners feel that certain dishes, like the chicken burger, need improvement to match the bar's otherwise high culinary standards. This feedback suggests a desire for consistency across the menu.

Another common critique revolves around the busy times—especially during weekends—where the service can slow down. Patrons sometimes find themselves waiting longer for their food and drink orders than they would like. While the staff is friendly and professional, the excitement of a packed house can sometimes lead to a slightly chaotic dining experience. Additionally, while free parking options exist, guests have noted that it can be difficult to find a space during peak hours.

We had a great time and enjoyed the food at Nellie Rua. We ordered chicken curry, chicken bang bang, a chicken burger, and chicken wings. All of them were delicious, though I think the chicken burger could be improved. We also enjoyed the live music at the end.

Food was good and was only place around that offered selection and took cards. Waitress was charming. Bathrooms are nice and clean, although upstairs.

Amazing food, seafood chowder to die for, roast turkey dinner that filled to the brim, wish I was here to do it again next Sunday. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We passed it along the way. We did not expect such a lovely inside standing outside. We started with the chicken wings and they were awesome. The curry rice and linguini with seafruit tasted also very well and the size was more then enough. We can highly recommend this bar/restaurant.
